Ibiza has two big hippy markets, both on the east of the island: Las Dalias near Sant Carles, running since 1985, and Punta Arabi in Es Canar, running since 1973. They open on different days, so one week is enough to see both.
The hippy markets are how many visitors meet the east of Ibiza, a quieter side of the island than San Antonio or Playa d'en Bossa. There are two that matter, and they do not open on the same day. The details below come from each market's official website.

- Punta Arabi opened its 2026 season on 1 April.

Las Dalias, Sant Carles
Las Dalias sits at km 12 of the Carretera San Carlos, in Sant Carles de Peralta. Punta Arabi, Es Canar
Punta Arabi calls itself Ibiza's original market, running since 1973 in Es Canar, in the municipality of Santa Eulalia. It sets up in the grounds of a hotel on Avenida Punta Arabi and has more than 400 stalls, plus food and live music. It opens on Wednesdays from 10am. The 2026 season started on 1 April. The last market of 2025 was on 29 October, and the 2026 closing date should be confirmed on its website.
If you are in Ibiza in October 2026
October is the month when the calendar gets tight. Las Dalias opens on Saturdays from 10am to 7pm and adds a Sunday market from 11am to 6pm. Punta Arabi keeps its Wednesday market until its season closes, and last year that was 29 October. From November Las Dalias shortens to 5pm on Saturdays and keeps its Sunday market until 5pm, while Punta Arabi rests until spring.
Las Dalias or Punta Arabi
Choose by day and by mood. Punta Arabi is larger and more of a morning outing that pairs with a swim at Es Canar. Las Dalias has the night market in summer, which suits people who spend the day at the beach. If you are in Ibiza for a week, you can do both.
Before you go
- Go to Punta Arabi early on Wednesdays in July and August to walk the stalls before the midday heat.
- Check the month's closing time at Las Dalias, since it moves from 5pm to 10pm across the year.
- From October to May Las Dalias also opens on Sundays, which helps if you fly out on a Saturday.
- Bring a bag for purchases and some cash as a backup.
Combine it with the island
The markets fit into a day on the east and north coast. If you do not want to drive, the organised options are in island tours of Ibiza. For the rest of the week, the best beaches in Ibiza, the quieter north and a day in Formentera by ferry round out the trip.
How we checked this guide: days, hours, stalls, founding year and address of Las Dalias from lasdalias.es (markets page), days, hours, stalls, founding year, address and 2026 season start of Punta Arabi from hippymarket.info. Both consulted on 30 September 2026.
